01 · Operational Model

Six stages, one orchestrated journey.

The proposed end-to-end operating process for Road2Haramain — from user onboarding through payment, settlement and reporting.

STAGE 01

Onboarding

User registers, completes required eKYC and activates the Road2Haramain wallet through the MiPAY platform. Identity verification, sanctions screening and risk controls are aligned with the approved wallet model operated under the MiPAY framework.

STAGE 02

Discover & book

User browses Hajj and Umrah packages and partner services inside the R2H experience. R2H orchestrates the user-facing journey while specialist providers retain ownership of their services and fulfilment.

STAGE 03

Pay

Payment is initiated through the MiPAY wallet or other approved payment rails. QR payments and DuitNow are available where supported by the platform and merchant environment.

STAGE 04

Process & settle

MobilityOne processes the transaction and settlement follows the agreed merchant and partner model. AML/CFT monitoring, sanctions screening and security controls continue to run in the background.

STAGE 05

Track & support

Road2Haramain surfaces booking and service status, and routes customer support appropriately across the R2H team, the platform team, and the specialist partner.

STAGE 06

Monitor & report

Transaction, service and operational reporting is available to authorised stakeholders. Regulatory, scheme and partner-level reporting follows the agreed data and audit model.

05 · FAQ

Questions, answered.

A more complete view of the most common questions about the Road2Haramain white-label e-money ecosystem.

What is Road2Haramain?
Road2Haramain is a proposed branded digital wallet and pilgrimage service ecosystem. It brings together the existing Road2Haramain pilgrim journey with a MiPAY-powered e-money layer and a curated set of partner services spanning accommodation, travel, health, learning and protection.
How does onboarding and eKYC work?
Every new user registers through the Road2Haramain app, completes the required electronic Know Your Customer checks, and activates the wallet. Identity verification, sanctions screening and risk controls are aligned with the approved wallet model operated under MiPAY.
Is my money and personal data secure?
Yes. The wallet is operated under the MobilityOne e-money framework, which includes AML and CFT controls, transaction monitoring, secure hosting, access controls, privacy handling and security testing. Road2Haramain itself only handles the user-facing brand experience and partner orchestration.
How do I pay for services inside the app?
Approved services inside Road2Haramain can be paid through the MiPAY wallet layer, including QR payments and DuitNow where supported. Funds movement such as P2P, cash-out and remittance is available where enabled by the underlying platform and regulatory scope.
What partner services can I access from the wallet?
The ecosystem includes eight service partners: Makkah Residences, StemSel, Cruise Travels, Dalil Al-Maalem Hotels, Mzar, Moddakir, VSure Tech and M1 Health Tech. Each partner is integrated through referral, deep link, API or SDK depending on the confirmed scope.
Who regulates the wallet and payment features?
eMoney issuance and payment infrastructure sit with MobilityOne and MiPAY. Road2Haramain and M1 Merchant Sdn Bhd own the brand, user journey, partner relationships and business rules. Final scope and approvals follow the BNM and scheme programme requirements.
What does it cost to use Road2Haramain?
Pricing is being confirmed as part of the white-label scope. Typical cost components include one-time implementation and recurring platform maintenance, optional prepaid Mastercard programme fees, eKYC and OTP usage, customisation work and standard transaction or scheme fees.
How do I get started?
Once the Road2Haramain app is live, you can download it from the official app stores, register with your mobile number, complete eKYC, fund your wallet and start exploring partner services. Until then, partner brands can express interest through the partner enquiry form on the Contact page.
